Pharmogistics® is an Enterprise-Wide Inventory Manager and Workflow Process Administrator. Our easy to use solution drives out waste across the health system and throughout the hospital with the use of package-sharing and centralized distribution methods. Pharmogistics tracks all products as they enter the pharmacy through to the delivery point near the patient care areas, satellites and departments. We cost center every dose to its destination and can post for the General Ledger, sort by charge codes, or any other identifiers that you choose to make management of your inventory more complete.

Pharmogistics maintains a perpetual inventory within the pharmacy and has specific and designated locations for every medication. All medications stocked, picked for orders, or returned to inventory require a barcode scan to verify accuracy and to maintain the correct counts in inventory. Pharmogistics operates any brand of existing carousel storage device or can provide new units for your use.

For ADC and PhIS orders, these are received electronically into Pharmogistics. We "smart sort" all orders to pick most efficiently, and direct each carousel to spin to the correct position with light indicators to guide the technicians to the correct location for stocking, returning, or picking orders. Carousels can reduce inventory storage space requirements by up to 60%.

Pharmogistics can be used as a software-only solution utilizing the existing static inventory storage areas. Workflow processes built into the software force the maintenance and accuracy of the inventory level counts at all times.

For Satellite and Department ordering, "paperless requisitioning" is prepared via our browser based system and orders are filled in the Central Pharmacy in the same manner as PhIS and ADC orders. These orders auto-populate the Pharmogistics picking queue which instructs the technicians what to pick, where to pick, how many to pick, and what the destination is to be. Packing slips and invoices can accompany each order to be sent to the final destination with cost centering of every dose.

For Reordering from Suppliers, every product in the pharmacy will have a minimum and maximum inventory level. When the minimum level is reached for any item, an automated supplier order is created for the primary supplier (can be the Primary and Secondary Wholesalers, Materials Management, Direct Manufacturers, etc. without limit depending on the product to be ordered) When orders arrive the next day, they will be sorted by put-away location in the most efficient and accurate method. Inventory levels for the received products are increased as products are put away, and any discrepancies between the order placed and products received from suppliers are noted for the buyer to handle. Maintaining a perpetual inventory with min/max reordering can drive out an average of 35% of inventory on hand, and the increased turns substantially decrease medication expirations from occurring.
